The Good Light On: Goddess Energy (and wellness retreats)

I’m a big believer that when you shift your energy, you can shift your timeline, and your life experience. One of my favorite energies to play with is The Goddess and I want to explore what that looks and feels like in our lives. This is a blog for anyone who wants to welcome more goddess energy, whether it’s within yourself or in the muses around you.

I just returned from 4 glorious days in Sayulita, Mexico and I’m feeling revived on every level. One of my best friends and business coach, Tiffany Napper (a goddess), hosted a retreat in paradise for 15 female entrepreneurs and every aspect of the experience was designed to refill our cups, so we can overflow into our homes, businesses, and relationships.

The goddess energy was strong. I knew it would be when the first beauty I met at the retreat space was named Athena.

This is an actual photo from our first dinner — unbelievably beautiful. Photo by Joana Vargas.

Every sister who arrived thereafter was a force — each in a unique industry and holding a story of how she achieved success. Among them, a debutante dressmaker, a bookkeeper, an artist, a video producer, a photographer, a wedding venue owner, an intuitive hairstylist, a yoga/breathwork angel, a dietician, an event designer, and two full-time podcasters.

We were greeted with gifts, pampered with saunas, fed the most delicious nutritious meals, and supported by the sisterhood in group coaching. There was yoga, breathwork, journaling, sun on our skin, and a bonfire at the end where we wrote down things we’re leaving behind and let them burn. I had the deepest sleep listening to the waves crashing.

All of this goddess energy has me musing on how we can embody it in our lives. Let’s explore it…

I took some time to embody my goddess energy. This stunning space is where the girlies had their massages at La Joya Sayulita.

I love goddess energy so much. I definitely have my fair share of masculine get sh*t done days, but it’s the essence of the divine feminine that gives me life.

Embracing the Divine Feminine

In a timeline often dominated by masculine ideals, there can be a need to rebalance through the nurturing, intuitive, and creative aspects of the divine feminine. I find the polarity to be magnetic. Embodying goddess energy is not just about paying homage to ancient mythologies; it's about tapping into the profound wisdom and strength that lies within. It’s power vs. force.

More than Mythology

Goddesses from various mythologies represent different facets of femininity, each possessing unique qualities and characteristics. By drawing inspiration from these goddess archetypes, we can cultivate these traits within ourselves and embrace our innate goddess energy. Here are a few examples:

Aphrodite: Goddess of Love and Beauty

Aphrodite embodies sensuality, beauty, and passion. To channel her energy, embrace self-love and acceptance. Surround yourself with beauty, indulge in self-care rituals, and cultivate loving relationships that nourish your soul.

Athena: Goddess of Wisdom and Strategy

Athena represents intellect, strategy, and inner strength. To embody her energy, prioritize knowledge-seeking and self-improvement. Trust your intuition, harness your problem-solving skills, and stand firm in your convictions.

Artemis: Goddess of the Hunt and Wilderness

Artemis symbolizes independence, courage, and connection to nature. To tap into her energy, spend time outdoors, honor your wild instincts, and assert your boundaries fearlessly. Embrace your independence and cultivate a deep reverence for the natural world.

Lakshmi: Goddess of Prosperity and Abundance

Lakshmi signifies wealth, prosperity, and generosity. To align with her energy, practice gratitude, and abundance mindset. Cultivate generosity and share your blessings with others. Focus on manifesting abundance in all areas of your life.

Kuan Yin: Goddess of Compassion and Mercy

Kuan Yin embodies compassion, empathy, and unconditional love. To embody her energy, practice kindness towards yourself and others. Cultivate a compassionate heart, actively listen to those in need, and offer support without judgment.

Which goddess(es) would you add to the list?

5 Simple Steps to Embody Goddess Energy

  1. Connect with Your Inner Goddess: Take time for introspection and meditation to connect with your inner wisdom and intuition.

  2. Honor Your Intuition: Trust your inner voice and intuition. Practice listening to your gut instincts and acting upon them with confidence.

  3. Embrace Feminine Symbols: Surround yourself with symbols of femininity like flowers, soft fabrics, sacred artwork, fresh fruit, and sweet scents to evoke goddess energy in your space.

  4. Cultivate Self-Care Rituals: Prioritize self-care practices that nourish your mind, body, and spirit. This could include yoga, meditation, journaling, breathwork, nature walks, or pampering spa treatments.

  5. Celebrate Sisterhood: Cultivate supportive relationships with other women. Celebrate each other's strengths, share wisdom, and uplift one another. (I’d recommend a Tiffany Napper Retreat for this — get on the waitlist)

Embodying goddess energy is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. By exploring the diverse qualities of goddess archetypes, we can tap into our own divine essence and radiate love, strength, and compassion into the world. I would encourage each of us to embrace goddess energy in our lives to create positive change and transformation, and ultimately a more beautiful world.

To our most high timeline.
